There are numerous ways to make a folding table top poker table; one simple method is to make a round table as a folding table. This seems interesting, it is indeed. If you have a dining table which is round, turn it into a folding table so that you can have dinner and enjoy a poker game as well. This is not as easy as it seems to be, as you need to take measurements well before you start out with your activity. In order to make your work simple, we have laid down few instructions below, follow them and make a folding table top poker table.
- The very first thing you need to do is to measure the diameter of the table and write it down on a slip of paper so that you will not forget it.
- Now try to find the radius of the table by dividing the diameter.
- Next step is to measure the string and cut according to the radius of the table.
- Measure the medium density fibreboard and mark a centre point with a pencil or a pen. Keep one end of the string at the centre and the other end; and draw a half circle on the medium density fibreboard (MDP).
- Repeat the above step on the other piece of the fibreboard.
- Make a jig saw and cut out the pencil marks, you will get two halves of the top of the folding table.
- Set the two parts together and make use of a piano hedge to secure the two halves. Take a power drill to screw up the hinges.
- Now you need to fold the two edges of the top, and sand the corners of it with a sand paper. You can also make use of orbital sander to make the edges smooth.
- Adjust the felt table top over the folded top of the table. Cut the felt, and remember to cut two inch extra at the corners.
- Stick the felt back over the table top by using spray adhesive and let it dry for at least 30 minutes.
- Turn the table top in upside down manner and fix the felt over the top of the table with a staple gun.
- Now fold the table top and set it in right position to start enjoying your poker game.
